Thanks for your suggestions Dave. I'm one of those who takes 95% of my shots in landscape mode, so either shooting or cropping in portrait would help many of my images. We try to get to Yellowstone once a year when possible, usually fall, winter, or spring to avoid the crowds. |

I tend to over saturate my colors in post sometimes. I'll often ask my wife to look at an image to see if the colors are okay. It's a challenge, but I like all challenges, we find ways to work through them. |

Thanks for your comments Ian. It truly was a cold, windy, and harsh day. |

A great image Peter. I first saw the mountains and looked at them for a while before seeing the boat in the river. The boat adds an element of perspective which I wouldn't have seen otherwise. It adds a sense of power to the story of the environment and puts the human components in their place as "small" in comparison. The snow and the overcast/cloudy sky give the impression of a cold place. |

Ian, I thought a bit more space above the top of the waterfall might help frame the beginning of the falls better. My eye was drawn initially to the rocks, which are not the most compelling component of the image. So I might crop or remove them to give the falls more impact. I think the log provides enough for the foreground with the falls as the key point to draw my eye and attention. It's a great image and I like it very much. |

I loved the view of the sun melting into the horizon. That caught my eye initially and then the sky with the clouds and contrast. I agree that the dead branches can disappear and the foreground with the shadows dropped a bit to help that part of the image stand out more. |

I enjoyed the image Dave and am also jealous of your opportunity. I like the foreground brightened as Butch has shown. I am quite color blind, so I don't see the vibrant colors that others do, either in person or an image. I like the brighter beam of light and see some greens and purples if I look at the image for a bit. It's a great shot at a great location. |

A great image of the canyon and highlights the different colors that appear at different times during the day or season. The point draws my eye first and I stay there for a bit to see the details and then look through the rest of the image to see the vastness and different features that run throughout the image to the hazy background. I like the overall composition and post work, this is the type of image I still struggle with, so I appreciate your photo. |

Hi Sherry, a beautiful image and I like the chairs and umbrella as additions to the scene. They add a perspective that gives a sense of remoteness that makes the image more meaningful. We have taken one trip to Kenya and the Masai Mara and hope to return in 2025, perhaps to Botswana. I particularly appreciate the restrictions they have in place for guides and guests to ensure that the scenery, parks, and wildlife aren't destroyed. |

Thanks for your input Sherry. I enjoy wildlife and nature and find that my landscapes are often "accidental" as I start with what I see as wildlife and the landscape is an addition to the experience. We particularly enjoy the national parks we have and try to travel to them as often as we can. Being located in NE Wisconsin means that a park is often a "trip", but always well worth it. |

Thanks for the feedback Butch. I always appreciate your insight and adjustments. I do like the changes you provided and will put in some additional post processing time on the photo. I always struggle with titles and obviously this was the case here. |
