I liked the story from the image. It's sharp for being handheld at 1/5 of a second. For me it felt like the 3rd person on the left was a distraction and perhaps cropping both sides toward the stair would help and also cover some of the pipes which caught my eye and made it feel like both modern and clean and then ancient with the expose pipes. I like the center and window view most of all, great image and planning for the result. |

I did get the sense of spookiness in the image. I would also add some vignette to keep the views eye from wandering. I wonder if the fence in the foreground make the view feel blocked from the scene. |

I like the scene and agree that it's a bit soft, particularly as I look at the fisherman. I would expect the mountains in the background to be soft from atmospheric haze and didn't have a concern with them. The story does show a lone fisherman in a vast sea and makes me feel a sense of hopelessness in finding any fish in what feels like a very deep body of water. |

The image captures the two trees in the center very well. It would be easy to focus on just a tree, but the pano captures the entire scene very well and the distant mountains keep my eye in the desert scene, with the sky well done and adding interest without being a distraction. |

A great image, the rock is well centered as the point of interest and the birds and their reflections in the foreground really help make it a compelling image to look at. I didn't see the sky initially and it does not draw me away from the primary subject. As I looked at the image, I did notice the crashing waves on the left and the distant bluff on the right, all things that add interest as I looked at the image. |

Hi Sherry, what a great image! My eye immediately went to the formation and its colors, then the foreground and finally the sky. I stayed on the formation for a time, so it definitely held my attention. I've seen other photo's of Iceland and ice, this is certainly more inviting. |

Thanks for your comments Butch. It was one of those photo's where you look at the subject and initially think of passing on it and then for some reason take a shot and then a few more. In the end, I was happy with the image. |
