Hi Sherry, I always need to remind myself to bring the filters and tripod. It's so easy to rely on the new technology and I still like taking time and working to get a shot right on site. Enjoy your trip to Costa Rico, I'll look forward to seeing some of those photo's soon! |

Thanks Peter, it was a fun image to capture and when I look at it reminds me of that trip and experience. I spent enough time to look at different compositions and ideas and this was my favorite image. |

I've never been to Banff, but your image makes me want to add it to my list of parks to visit. It's a great image and the clouds around the mountain really add to the overall composition. It takes planning and lots of effort to get nice sunrise photo's and you've done a great job. |

I hadn't noticed the banding until Sherry mentioned it. I like the image and the colors. Taking long exposure shots always adds some interesting things to be aware of and using NB filters can also add challenges to post processing. If it's your first try at long exposure and multiple exposures, you've done very well. |

It was a lot of work to get a series of images from a moving boat that could then be sticked into a very nice pano, well done. It's hard to do much with a featureless sky other than lighten or darken it depending on the scene. I think you've done a nice job with your post processing and I like the image. |

I like the portrait image because it gives the jogger more prominence and I like reflections on water. If I were to make any changes, I might crop a bit at the bottom as the rocks or a shiny reflection still show or use the LR Remove tool. I often add black to the water to help highlight the reflection more. I like your composition and the post processing you've done. |

Sherry, it's a beautiful composition and just leads your eye through the entire scene to the mountains in the background. It does invite the viewer to sit at one of the tables and just enjoy the day. |

I learned about how to make people disappear some time ago and alway need to remember to bring my tripod and ND filters. Sometimes it's too easy to just carry my camera to be light and travel fast. |

Thanks Ian, I also think of the DaVinci Code when I look at the image. I did spend a fair amount of time looking for a different composition than those I've already seen. I liked how this turned out and I did have to take multiple images as sometimes a person would walk up and stand for a minute and therefore be in the image. I guess patience is a virtue in those cases. I always try to remember that the person who's "in my way" has as much right to be there as I do. |
