73 Jun 23 Reply Thanks for the feedback Dave. I actually cropped the photo to be closer to the rocky outcropping and darked and reduced texture on the foreground rocks. It's helpful to get feedback like yours to help me with some of those post processing decisions. Jun 13th
73 Jun 23 Comment Very nice photo, the bright street in the middle draws my eye into the center of the city and then expands to the taller, center city buildings. Very sharp for the conditions and limited light available. Jun 10th
73 Jun 23 Comment I like the longer exposure on the foreground water to smooth it out. Also a nice wave coming in and I like the sunrise showing in the early morning sky and darker clouds to frame the top of the photo. Really interesting composition. Jun 10th
73 Jun 23 Comment I like the water color and the blind in the middle of it all. Nice foreground with the dry grass and the background of grass, trees and sky keep my eye in the water. I might darken the sky a bit so my eye doesn't go to it right away. Did you spend time in the blind? Jun 10th
73 Jun 23 Comment It's hard to get a good shot with the harsh desert light. I think it's a good photo and my only suggestion might be to crop more of the blue sky, down to, or into the cloud bank to reduce some of the brightness. The Joshua trees are the main subject and look good in the photo. Jun 10th
73 Jun 23 Comment Great reflections in the water and I can see some of the raindrops which add to the mood. The water in the canal leads you into the photo, nice job with the composition. Sorry to hear about losing so many images to hard drive failure. Seems we never have enough backups. Jun 10th
73 Jun 23 Comment That's a beautiful image Sherry. The sunset really accents the mountain itself and I can understand why it would take work in LR to bring down the shadows to get some clarification on the mountain and foreground. You were at ISO 320, but could noise be a reason for the haze? Jun 10th
