Hi James, Lovely capture, and not an easy shot - they sure move their heads a lot! This is a wonderful color study. The differences in color between the top of head and shadowy breast are very good. You caught his pose nicely and the eye is sharp. I might have removed the distracting light circles behind him, and taken the 'blue' down just a tiny bit.
Love it - I wanna go there and sheet these guys! -Melissa |

Lori - what a wonderful thing to do with pencil shavings. I love using pencils for subjects. This is specially nice, though, because they take the form of a bouquet. Very nice idea. -Melissa |

Tom - you are correct - I just darkened it and it does improve the impact of my subjects. Thanks. - Melissa |

Nadia - I think you have displayed a good representation of continuance. I am not sure if it feels like "going" through life, or leaving life through the burned-out gateway. I have to think about it this week. But most excellent technique and cretive setting. -Melissa |

Tom - you completely changed the atmosphere here. WOw! This is almost spooky. What you did to the building is great - making it thinner. And changing sky to dark moon - also good. But the addition of the scary man is wonderful, especially because of his attire. This is straght out of a spy thriller movie! Wonderful! Choice of the dark tint was good to show that reflection of the moon. |

Hi Hazel - you sure fooled me! I thought it really was rain. What a nice job. The combination of the statue and house setting is specially nice in the distance because you put the right distance between her and the house. You certainly are a photo artist! -Melissa |

Hi Brad - Actually, I like the picture with your son. The other one is a 'fantasy', but your son's picture leaves the viewer with a mental question - what will happen how?
THe image is really excellent. Nice job. -melis |

Hi Ed - OOOh - I really love this one. Those striped arches lead the eye all over the frame, so the viewer does not miss a thing. The contrasts are so wonderfully vivid, and each detail shows up perfctly. Best Ever !! -Melissa |
