Joan. I took another look at our group photos on our home page. I noticed that your image needs a slightly larger white boarder so that it does not blend into the background. |

A wonderful simplistic image. Your creativity in using a real bird's nest and coloring one egg with a slight blue tint is great. The twigs make it look more of a setup shot and does not improve the composition. The dirt on the eggs shell brings out the reality of the subject. Great shot. |

Beautiful location. I like the exposure of the sky in the original and agree it can be cropped. The mist is another layer of beauty. |

I too love action shots but the original and its post processing is all about the water and not the surfer. The image you posted in the comment section is fantastic. In this shot we don't need to see the surfer's face because I see a guy with only one foot on the board who is doing all he can just to remain standing. To me this is a much more interesting shot. There is enough rough water to show his skill level.

Great shot. The black background and tight view allows us to see every detail and bold colors that often get overlooked when we look at multiple blossoms. |

Very good image for our group. Your crop is good by eliminating the lights in the ceiling but I would suggest that you also crop on the left side to remove the person in black so we first see the lady with the red scarf on her right shoulder. This will automatically remove the basketball hoops on the left side which is not a necessary part of the story line. WOW….great vivid colors drawing our attention to a fantastic photojournalism story of the times we now live. |
