Thanks for your supportive comments. I don't have the confidence to use my I-phone but my SLR is now just too heavy. Most photographers do so much post processing that I question my judgement when it comes to critiquing my I-phone photos. This is a much needed learning process so I appreciate all comments, both good and bad, from the entire group. Thanks |

I think this image would do best in pictorial because the vase shows the hand of man and may get disqualified or receive a lower score in the Nature category. As a pictorial image, I like your softer version because it looks intentional as a creative expression. |

Beautiful image. There is such a large contrast between the village on the left side and the one on the right side that my eyes bounce back and forth between them to the point that the village on the right side looks artificial to me. I don't remember seeing this in your image last month. My suggestion would be to crop out or clone the villages. The mountains and sky are incredible. |

Yes to both your questions. Your post processing is great. The background you substituted works well. I am especially impressed with the lighting adjustments on the left side of her face and the detail in her hair in that area. Portions of her hair on the right side is blown out so it lacks detail. I would have never guessed that you used water for the background. Very creative, great job.

Your crop emphasizes the vertical aspects while the flag draws attention to the scale. Your use of HDR really adds impact to the reflections in the windows. Great shot. |

Yes... I understand. The fires are horrible. I think your decision to post processing this image as a BW was a great choice. You did an excellent job. |

The technical aspects of your post processing is excellent., however, in your efforts to convey what impacts you from an emotional point results in an image that puts too much emphasis on the pole, which I find distancing. I like Terry's crop better but this is my perspective.
I appreciate yours. I see how the last 3 ladies on the right side are an important part of the story. |
