I do seldom groom a area before I take a photo. I prefer that the viewer see exactly what I saw. It's hard to remember or match the saturation so I do my best to duplicate the scene. I have printed the image as a landscape but I did not pay any attention to the sign so I don't know what it said. |

Great post processing. I like that you stopped to capture the man enjoying this beautiful location. Your composition allows me to appreciate the reflections and you choose a color for your sky that ties in the yellow shirt the man is wearing as well as the yellow flowers in the foreground. I think these small details combine to make a special creative presentation. We usually see a blue sky but your image creates a special mood. |

Fantastic restoration of a flat image. Over sharpening may not work on a lot of images but old buildings with detail and character calls for this kind of creativity and looks realistic. I might have tossed this image as just a snap shot because the original is dull and drab. You added just the right amount of snap to keep our eyes focus on all the interesting details in so many areas in the photo and your crop is perfect. |

Nice save of a image with too much vegetation distractions on the right side which does not improve the shot. Your vertical crop allows us to see more detail and keeps our focus on the subject which allows us to see the interaction between the two birds. Great job.

I really like the way you combined the two images to tell the story you wanted to convey. I don't think putting Larry that close to the statue helped improve the image because you can see that it was selected because the fur on the collar has been removed. By flipping the image so the little girl is close to him and everyone is looking in the distance so it does not look posed. |

It was a good idea to crop the foreground which improved the image. If you would have waited until there was a person coming toward you it would have added more interest. I also think the image looks flat and if you had increased the saturation a little, there would be more snap. The image is sharp. |
