16 Jun 18 Comment Fantastic nature shot. Getting dew drops adds interest. You would have to make a selection to manipulate the colors in the flower which I believe would violate the rules for most nature competitions. I find the variations of colors in the flower natural, not distracting. Jun 14th
16 Jun 18 Comment You did not enter this subject in a nature competition so I don't think it was necessary to give a more detailed description. As a judge, we are asked to score what we see. With such bright lighting, you did an excellent job of bringing out the colors in the blown out whites. I see shadows, reflections, ripples and a bubble in the water. If you had not mentioned it, I would not have known the flower was artificial, which is acceptable in competition. Jun 14th
16 Jun 18 Comment I find spiral stair cases very interesting. Taking photos under this kind of lighting situation can be very difficult. You did an excellent job with your corrections. Your image looks real and non-manipulated. I would not change anything. Great shot Jun 14th
16 Jun 18 Comment This looks like a wonderful summer place to relax. Since your intent was to take a photo of a beautiful reflection of the sky, I would suggest you take another shot when the debris from the storm clears up...The dead branches in the water is too much of a distraction to appreciate the beauty of the reflection. You did a nice job of capturing what you saw. Jun 14th
16 Jun 18 Comment Without your description I would not have known this beautiful structure was a prison that survived a recent natural disaster which is a testament to the expertise used to construct it. Your original image was so well taken that your few changes made it "pop". My only suggestion would be to crop the sky down to the tallest tree top. The details even in the shadow areas is impressive. Jun 14th
