I think your original is beautiful and does not need any adjustments. It's sometime hard to come up with an image for others to learn from. The main thing that I like about our group is that we show the before and after images so we can see the changes made and learn from each other. Your creative changes to this photo is a good example of what we can do to stretch our imagination and explore other options for our photos. |

Such a beautiful animal to capture ... it's too bad the sunlight was so harsh. The foreground is much too bright and the way the light falls on his backside makes the image look like you selected him when you made your adjustments. It's a very nice Nature shot. |

Congratulations Walter. I like both your images. I live in Chicago and could not even view the eclipse because it was clouded over. Your original is exciting to me because it was taken under extreme conditions with limited equipment. Your final image is fantastic....don't be disappointed...appreciate and be proud of what you were able to accomplish. |

I love circular stairways which are a difficult subject to shoot. I can't believe you walked up all those steps. I agree the composition is very good and draws the eye down to the bottom. The lighting can be tricky and you did a great job with this image. I think I would like it even more as a total black and white image.I appreciate your efforts to get "the shot."
