Joseph: Your choice of using a long exposure on this photo works very well with the warmth of the setting sun. The colors throughout are exceptional. Love that the subject is almost a silhouette but not quite. Kudos to you on merrying the highlights and shadows so beautifully. Very well done. |

Lucky you Kathy. What a wonderful photo. The clarity of the Humming Bird's face and beak is eye-catching. The depth of field also serves to highlight the subject. You certainly were in the right place at the right time. |

Yamuni: Knowing the story behind the photo certainly gives the viewer a better understanding of the photo. Your exposure/sharpness enhance the beauty of the photo. The perspective of the photo adds to the drama of the moment in depicting the dangers of this sport. Well done Yamuni. |

Yamuni: Thanks for your comments. Yes, I did use a tripod. Since the sculpture is local I cannot wait to photograph it again using all the suggestions everyone has made. |

Thanks for your comments Howard. I failed to mention the photo was taken outside and at night. Fortunately, I just learned the process to lighten a certain part of a photo through LRC. I agree with you. The top portion of the sculpture is a bit dark. I'm anxious to apply my newfound knowledge to the object in question. |
