37 Jun 24 Reply Meredith: Thank you for your comments. Yes, I agree with everything you said. I have so much to learn about photography and how Lightroom and Photoshop can do wonders with just an average image of a rose. There are many times (selfishly) I wish the days had 48 hours in them so I can hurry up and be as good a photographer and some of the images I see posted here from other people. Jun 26th
37 Jun 24 Reply Howard: #1 I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. These past 3 weeks I have been inundated with company from out of state (and they are still here). That being said, I cannot believe what you did to my photo! You have taken it from an average image of a flower and applied your knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop, and turned my photo into an absolutely beautiful image. Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me and giving me the step by step process from beginning to end of how you just made my image come alive. I love photography because it is a learning process that appears never to end. Your redo of my image only supports how much I need to learn about Lightroom and Photoshop. Again, thank you so much for the mini lesson you gave this novice. Jun 26th
37 Jun 24 Reply Delian: Thank you for commenting on my image. I am going to look up on YouTube on how to expand the canvas of a photo. Totally agree with you about the tip of the rose bud hitting the frame of the photo. Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Reply Bob: I like your suggestions. Yes, I will get rid of the brown whatever in the upper left corner and darken the background. I will also look up on YouTube how to expand the canvas so the tip of the bud rose is not touching the frame. Appreciate your helping me with your suggestions. Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Reply Napoleon: Thank you for your suggestions. I will make the grayish background slightly darker to make the rose come to the forefront. I also like your suggestion to put a slight glow behind the rose. Not sure how to do that but I'll look it up on YouTube. Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Napoleon: Love your choice of colors for this one. They are extremely complimentary. The image is certainly eye catching. Yes, remove the green at the bottom of the latex wireless charger. So glad you explained the process to Napoleon. Don't know if I'll give it a try, but I think your attempt is successful. Kudos to you for sharing such a fun idea! Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Howard: I love this photo. The hawk if perfect. What bothers me is the branch that is going through his head. It's a big piece, but with some determination and patience, I believe you can get rid of that branch. Also, the two light spots in the image can be either softened or cropped out. In the end, I still love the photo! Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Bob: Great shot. Love the bird on the right. The bird on the left is not as defined, especially the red and green on the upper part of the bird. Also, if the underside of the tail feathers could be lightened just a bit, the bird would look more complete. These types of photos are so difficult to get where everything is perfect even after post processing. Under the circumstances of how you acquired this image, you did an outstanding job! Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Delian: Love the concept of the photo. However, the whole photo appears to be on the 'soft' side. Perhaps that is what you were striving for. To me the image should be sharper to enhance the appeal of the cookies. I agree with Bob, something is off with the glass. It should definitely be clearer and have a defined edge around the soft cloth. The photo makes me want to get some milk and cookies to munch on! Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Meredith: Such a cute photo. Reaching a happy medium with black texture and white texture is no easy feat. More definition in both the black feathers and the breast of the Pelican would be ideal. Also, if the sky were more blue around the bird, I believe the Pelican would 'pop' more. The photo is a bit 'soft' around the neck above the beak and the left side of the bird's head. In all, the colors are very complementary, and the position of the Pelican is also eye catching. A difficult photo to capture without some natural light. Kudos to you for getting this image, especially being hand held. Jun 15th
37 Jun 24 Comment Peter: Love this little guys expression and the clarity of the hair around the face. The droplets are wonderful and add to the total affect of the photo. Great shot. Jun 15th
