Bob, Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try. When you say underexpose one shot to ton down and overexpose one shot to bring out the words are you referring to bracketing? |

Bob: The lines in the photo are definitely eye catching. I also love the overall tone of the image. Unfortunately, the lighting in this photo is unevenly distributed which is certainly not to your advantage. Using your experience as a photographer, pushing the ISO and opening the shutter speed definitely helped in capturing the end result of the photo. In all, you did an excellent job with what you had to work with (i.e. 2.8 lens). |

Delian: I love the simplicity of the composition of this photo. The black background enhances the complimentary color combination of the tangine and the food. When viewing the image, the eye is drawn to the "yellow" vegetable (center, bottom). If you can reduce the brightness of this vegetable in Lightroom, Photo Shop, that would be great. In all, this is a wonderful image where the colors play off one another beautifully. |

Meredith: Love the way the light hits the rocks in this image. Photographing waves/water is more difficult than people realize because of the constant movement. At some point, I would try a longer exposure, as suggested by Napoleon. I would also try a faster shutter speed to capture more definition in the waves. You are very fortunate to live so close to the beach. Is the straight edge in the from of the photo due to a drop off? |

Peter: The clarity of the Short-eared owl amazing given your settings. I would suggest cropping the photo more, but your cropping explanation along with using the denoise lightroom feature explains a lot. Anymore cropping, denoising the image would begin to be distorted. Considering what you are working with you did an excellent job in post-processing. |

Wow, I am impressed for a first time capture of a bird in flight Napoleon. With the light coming in from the right, you are going to get strong shadows. Keeping this in mind, I would soften the whites and try to bring out some details of the bird in the dark areas (i.e. head and neck especially). However, this is a great "first time" effort for capturing a bird in flight. |

Oh my Howard. You just captured my heart. Your image of the house sparrow is beyond perfect. The lighting highlights the sparrow's beautiful coloring in tandem with the sharpness of the focus to show off the clarity of the feathers in this image. Your attention to detail is clearly evident down to the sparrow's claws on the branch. Love the highlight in the eye. And, the muted background only serves to accentuate the beauty of the sparrow. Just gorgeous. |
