42 Jul 25 Reply I notice those three black blocks when I took the shot but didn't know what they really are. I guess they are just windows in different shade. The bight patch is part of the cloud pattern reflection. Jul 4th
42 Jul 25 Comment Interesting photo! I enjoy doing long exposures as well, but mostly at night. Since this was taken during the day, did you use ND filters? Jul 4th
42 Jul 25 Reply Glad you pointed it out. I've debated whether to crop it out or keep it. I'll look it again. Thanks! Jul 3rd

56 Jul 25 Comment A well-kept elderly lady walking past a half-run hourglass - what a great concept and a lovely image. I also admire the sharpness of the photo - from the grains of sand to the strands of the lady's hair. Jul 18th
56 Jul 25 Comment I really like this image - it captures an interesting scene where a truck shares the road with wild animals. The dusty air adds a sense of contrast and a feeling of a mixed environment. Jul 18th
56 Jul 25 Comment Well... if it weren't for the title of the image, I would never have guessed it was about penguins. My attention was first drawn to the two people in the foreground, then to the hill and sky in the background. I cropped your photo to focus more on the penguins while still including enough people to keep the 'street' feel. Jul 18th
56 Jul 25 Comment The monochrome shifts the focus back to the working man, rather than the dresses. Good choice - I really like this image. Jul 18th

93 Jul 25 Reply I was drawn to this scene because of the obscured tip of the tower - perhaps that's why it never occurred to me to remove the fog. Still, I'll try revealing the top and see how it changes the effect. Thank you! Jul 24th
93 Jul 25 Reply Indeed, the ship is kind of dark and merged with the background. Jul 24th
93 Jul 25 Reply Thank you! Jul 24th
93 Jul 25 Comment I like Francois' edit that pulls the rock closer to muffle the rest of the scene. Jul 18th
93 Jul 25 Comment A beautiful monochrome conversion - you did well! I'm surprised to hear you just finished History of Photography. I completed mine a week ago with Geoff Blackwell - such a great instructor and mentor. I truly enjoyed that course 100%! Jul 18th
93 Jul 25 Comment Beautiful sunset in the harbor - especially the sky. Personally, I like to center a symmetrical image with a strong vanishing point with leading lines. One other thing - have you considered straightening the photo? Jul 18th
