Hi Oleg -
I really like your image and thanks for the details related to your composition and techniques. The photo reminds me too of the beautiful ice skaters we're now enjoying who are competing at the Olympics. I really like the positioning of the dancer with the trees in the background on a field of snow.
As Richard noted, the lighting is very strong and detracts from your main subject, the dancer.
Keep working though as it's a really interesting image! |

Beautiful image, Julia and interesting to see the different colors of this bird.
I agree with Richard about the backlighting on the grass - if it could be reduced, more emphasis could be placed on the subject. Also, you might try a radial gradient mask on his head to draw more attention to his eye. Thanks for sharing! |

Hi Richard - I really like the photo and unique reflection of the Eiffel Tower in the glass. It's also interesting to consider that this temporary building no longer exists which lends more importance to your image as a documentary/photojournalism piece. I do love your crop and how the curve of the roofline, horizontal, and vertical lines attract the viewer to spend more time enjoying the image. |

Hi Marilyn - Like Richard, I think your photo is quite unique with the one wing exhibiting motion blur while everything else is in focus. Nice composition and great capture! Butterfly World sounds amazing too - how many images did you capture on your visit? |

Hi Richard -
Thanks for the comments and noticing the dark spot at the bottom. I'll try removing it. I'm so glad you get to see the sandhills in Florida especially with their young. They are such an interesting species especially knowing they mate for life. |

Hi Oleg - thanks for your compliment! The Crane Trust has blinds offering a great view of the cranes. You arrive before sunrise and quietly wait for the light to cast its spell on the river. The cranes begin talking, dancing, and flying off to the outlying fields to dine on bugs. It's really an amazing experience...beyond what a photograph can capture. |
