Oleg - your daughter has a lovely view from her bedroom window and how nice to catch the sunset each day and I can imagine the lights of the bridge at night. The circular structures on the bridge are very interesting and I like the brilliance of the orange/yellow sky.
I wonder if you could use some masking to lighten (bring up shadows) the area below the bridge to see a bit more detail?
I was curious about the area so I did some Googling...is this one of the bridges of the Western High Speed diameter road in St. Petersburg? |

Richard - you've captured a wonderful woodland scene and thanks for educating us about ghost plants. I'm not familiar with those and haven't seen any before...however, I'm not often in the woods. I like the detail in the foreground and you have nice sharpness on the fungi too. Thanks for sharing! |

Julia - you've done a great job capturing the swallowtail and how cool to live so close to a butterfly garden! It's interesting how the butterfly seems to be turning his head towards the camera/viewer - makes me feel like he's connecting with the viewer. |

Hi Marilyn - thanks for sharing your photo and it's great that you live so near a lively area with shops and restaurants!
I love the expression of your main subject and the other elements around him - book, glasses, iced coffee. It truly looks like he is enjoying the "good life" and it makes me want to visit with him and find out more about his life story.
I find all the reflections of people behind him (especially those with cameras) distracting. I wonder how a tighter crop to remove some of the top glass/people would be? |
