Oleg - your daughters are adorable and I love their expressions!
It's interesting to ponder Richard's edit and I do think the image flows better with the horizontal flipping with your older daughter on the left. It gives room for movement to the right with the little one leading the way.

Hi Jacqueline -
I love the colors in your shot and keep trying to determine how it's a staircase! I agree with Oleg that the abstract category would be more suitable.
I'd love to know where you found the staircase - it's quite interesting.
Good luck with the competition!! |

Richard - nice capture of the protest. When I was on sabbatical in Angers, France in 2008 I was surprised how often the people protested and/or called strikes. It's truly an aspect of their daily life.
You did a great job with post-processing - the final edit is brighter and appears more in focus.

Marilyn - You've captured a nice summertime scene with the two kids at the fair.
I do like the full composition as I like how the boy is making eye contact with you while the girl is concentrating on the corn on the cob.

Thanks for the comments Richard! He was an interesting fellow and shared with me that his birthday is the same as the real Doc Holliday...so he feels this is part of his destiny. |
