Shirley - thanks for sharing this image and it certainly tells a story! It makes me wonder if this is a friendly encounter or a younger male challenging a more senior animal. Of course, I'm assuming they are male as I don't know this species.
It's great you could visit South Africa and I hope you share some other images. |

Wow - gorgeous photo of the swallowtail! Great composition and sharpness in your image and love the muted background.
Your photo reminds me of some images from Judith Borremans - I follow her on Instagram but here's her website link: https://judithborremans.com.
Richard's suggestion to clone out the flower stem would simplify the photo and give more attention to the swallowtail. You could also remove the flowers at the bottom as well.
However, from a nature photo perspective, I like seeing the more realistic image and can imagine the scene in the garden. Removing the other foliage would elevate the scene to "fine art". |

Santosh - I love all the colors in the photo and it's an interesting portrait. The subject is nicely separated from the black background and the costume, makeup, and pose offer so much to absorb and appreciate.
There does seem to be a bit of a glare on his face so wondering if some masking adjustment could help - just on his nose and cheeks.
Thanks for sharing! |

Richard - beautiful image of the lily and thanks for sharing your process with using a backdrop and focus-stacking. I haven't tried that yet...but it's on my list of things to try.
Do you have a particular process of where you focus - center, right, left, top, bottom?
You have great soft lighting and excellent sharpness too! |

Marilyn - Thanks for sharing your photo and I hope you enjoyed the Outer Banks.
Interesting shot and as Richard said, great lighting. I think your caption is great to connect the people outside the window with the empty table that needs to be cleared. Great storytelling in your photo. |

Richard - thanks for the feedback. Some of my camera club colleagues have recommended oversaturating for printing.
In Lightroom, I increased the luminance of the colors and did not change saturation.
As a cropped photo, the rising sun is more prominent than the original image as well. Look forward to hearing from others about the cropped vs original image & level of saturation. |
