Thanks for the feedback, Richard. I'm including my original, unedited photo and will work on your recommendations to clone out some of the distracting elements.
Also, I hope you're able to visit the Platte River and I highly recommend the Crane Trust for photo workshops - they have private blinds with great access for sunrise and sunset shoots.

Hi Shirley - thanks for sharing your image of the forest after the Creek fire. It's a great documentary photo to show the road and how the trees were damaged.
I'm wondering a bit about your intended subject - is the road the main subject? I do like how it winds through the frame and takes the viewer into the image. I might crop a bit from the bottom and right - see attached which brings the trees a little bit closer into the frame. What do you think?

Hi Marilyn - Nice shot of the gator with the light on his head. Good emphasis on its eye and interesting reflections of the leaves in the water. The light rays coming from the top left are a bit distracting. Also, I might give more emphasis on the gator by cropping some of the water at the top. See the cropped image attached. |

Julia - Thanks for sharing a bit about your workshop and the iris photo. It's lovely. I was not familiar with light pads so I did a bit of research to learn more.
You have lots of great detail in the flower and I love the high key/white background.

Richard - great photo of the eclipse and nice job blending the church photo as a layer. Without knowing, it would be difficult to tell this was a composite photo.
There are two lines coming up from the crosses at the right side of the image. Should those be removed?
