Mary Ellen, yes I can see why this flower caught your eye. The colors are very vibrant and captivating. I do see that the capture was in midday sun which doesn't provide much diffuse lighting. You did a nice job at capture and in post processing. this is a pleasing image! |

John, lovely subject. Very sharp. This looks like it was taken in midday as the light is pretty intense, but you handled the highlights and shadows well.
I agree that there are bright areas in the upper left that would be good to darken a little.

Barbara, this will make an excellent print. I like the high key treatment of the subject. The background is excellent. I really like the color gradations across the frame. Very, very good.

Charissa, I like this image. The flower making a strong diagonal across the frame appeals the me. The monochrome treatment and lighting does give the petals a metallic appearance. I'd be tempted to add a slight vignette to the corners.

Jamie, I like this image. The colors are vibrant and the sharpness of the flowers nearest the camera has a lot of appeal I wished I were there myself. I imagine this is a very picturesque location. |
