Charissa, thank you so much for your comments.
I'm pretty lucky to have a spouse who likes to plant and maintain flowers. So, I have plenty of potential subjects around the house.
I am doing more post processing after seeing what others do with their captures. So I appreciate your feedback!

Bev, thank you so much.
Much of what I do is inspired by others including yourself. I'm doing more with my raw files now and making an effort to take advantage of what my software can do.
You are behind much of that and I thank you for your suggestions and inspiration!

John, I like your subject. Very nice color and nicely sharp. i like most of the background. The green leaf has less interest to me than the remainder of the background. This is a pretty cool image and thank you for sharing it! |

Charissa, pow! This image explodes on the screen. The lighting may be a little bright, but the subject is eye catching. Very good! |

Bev, the colors are great and I like the background. The image looks like it was captured shooting through shower glass. Pretty cool composition! |

Richard, I like the composition. There is a rugged feel to the scene. A sense of desolation. I do like the tone of the scene, but I thought it would be good to create more contrast. I opened your image in Elements 2023 and used the white eye dropper tool in the Levels adjustment to touch where I thought snow would be. This created a lot of contrast and did change the tone of the scene. Not sure if this works especially well, but I thought it is worth a look!

Richard, thank you for your comments. You are right. That stone in the upper right corner is way too bright. A niggling detail I needed to deal with before submitting the image.
Thank you for making note of it! |
