24 Jul 25 Comment Bev,

The image is very colorful. The whites are bright and and not blown out and the red and pink tones are very pleasing. The subject is sharp and the background is nicely blurred.

Very nice.

I like the idea, and I'm impressed with the how your phone produced such a nice image. I have a basic iPhone 15 and I imagine your ProMax has substantial image and video capability.

This image is sharp and I think it's good you did the black and white conversion. The white of the flowers cam out pretty good.

I thought it would be good to crop out the blossom on the upper left. It is darker than the other three and is tucked away in that corner somewhat.

I like the shot!

48 Jul 25 Comment Richard,

Wow! You images suggests a hot day is coming. The deep red color with the gradient to yellow-orange at the top is striking.

I don't have any special advice for camera settings. As Tom suggested, manual exposure and bracketing is the way to go. That would create more time commitment in post processing to cull frames out and evaluate the remaining frames, but you'd stand a better chance of "hitting" on an image you really like.

48 Jul 25 Reply Tom,

Thank you for your comments! Christmas card idea is good.

To be truthful, I'm not familiar with Bet's Fish stand. I do like that sort of thing but when I'm with my wife I have to behave about food. She is not fond of fish....

48 Jul 25 Reply I think it's great that you've had opportunity to talk with Clyde Butcher. I expect he must have quite a personality and a wealth of interesting story's. I would think the snakes would be the more frightening threat. Between the poisonous and large constrictors slithering around the waters I wouldn't want to be on the water in a small boat much less in it! Jul 3rd

Outstanding! This is a beautiful image and a very nice piece of work. The woman is nicely positioned in the frame. The blending you've done is very, very good.

Great color and textures. Thank you for sharing your work!

48 Jul 25 Comment Tom,

I'm with you regarding looking at such a beast. This image reminds me of the Florida photographer who photographs these things in the water lens to snout (Clyde Butcher). I think the message is he doesn't fear these things and perhaps we shouldn't. Personally, I'd have no temptation to walk up to that guy. No thanks!

Great composition. It's eyes are definitely fixed on the viewer leaving no doubt where it's attention is. Great depth of field and nicely sharp. Excellent!

48 Jul 25 Comment Jamie,

This is a very pleasing scene. I can easily imagine looking up from my game and pausing to take in this view.

I did a feedback image. I found the building (cottage?) along the lower right of the frame distracting and thought cropping in some would focus more attention towards the center of the frame.

Very nice shot and it's good to have a smart phone handy for such things!

Your edit is excellent. The final image is very interesting. You did a nice job taking what was more of a documentation shot and made it into a culture commentary.

Good work - cool image!
