I think I resolved the color cast in the petals. I opened the image in Elements 2023, made a layer from background. The using the curves adjustment and selecting the Green channel, I played with the green curve until the cast faded. I used the magic wand tool to select everything in the layer but the flower and pressed Delete to restore the background. This may not be perfect, but al least it's better. |

Pinaki,
You are right about the white not being white. Franks comment about the green being overpowering is a factor here. Now what should I do about it....??

Pinaki,
Great subject and nice composition. Is it my monitor or is there a lite bluish fringe around the fine hairs on the bud. I think this would make a very nice print.
Good work!!

Frank,
Very nice composition. Very sharp. Bev did do a good think with the vibrance adjustment. I like the background it is just soft enough not to distract from the flowers, but has enough detail to add interest to the frame.
Good job!

Frank,
Outstanding. Very nice subject and excellent work in post processing. Do you sell cards and posters? If so, this looks like something that would attract interest.
Thanks for sharing!

Charissa,
Very pleasing image. I agree with the others that the subject could be sharper front to back. Focus stacking was mentioned and and an aperture closer to f8 or smaller would have added more depth of focus. If a smaller aperture makes the background too sharp you can always substitute a background in post processing. Bev is pretty "sharp" with this sort of thing and can advise better than myself.
I like to shot. The lighting is good and Bev's enhancements did make a difference!
Thanks for sharing!

Bev,
I do like this shot. The color is very pleasing and the timing of your capture was very good. That is a very interesting background you have!
Pleasing image! Good work!

Yes, something else to work on! I agree.
You are correct about the hue. Something I didn't notice.
Thank you, Don |

Bev,
Yes! Thank you. My entry isn't especially showy. I have a recent capture from our front your that will be a good entry for June.... Hopefully, I'll get it in on time!
Thank you!

Clyde Butcher is the guy I remember. Say a photo of him a few feed from a gater with his camera. I'm with you. Don't need that shot! Nope, not me! |

Lloyd,
Excellent image. Very sharp subjects. I like the position of the wings on several of the birds. The background is nicely blurred and the reflections are pleasing. Very good and thanks for sharing!

Tom,
Excellent image. As others have expressed, I'd be a little queasy around these things, though I know of some members of my camera club who over winter in Florida and kayak in the swamps all the time and don't seem bothered by the prospect of an encounter. As I recall, there's a photographer from the film days who routinely got into the water to capture images.
Maybe the real worry is pythons and anacondas....
Anyway, I do really like the shot. The colors and sharpness are very good and it's a nice composition. Good work!

Jamie,
Thank you. I'm pleased with what I got but know I missed some interesting views of the totality whilst flubbing with gear.

Lloyd,
Thank you! It was kind of funny in a way. I was watching the totality whilst pressing the cable release on my camera and not checking the capture results!
Thanks, again!

Tom,
Thank you! My whine is not thinking about taking advantage of the gear I have. The whole experience, including the shooting location and seeing a nice crowd there was great. I want to go back and poke around the facility some day. Very big place, lots of abandoned buildings above ground and who knows what is underground....., and inaccessible.
I appreciate your comments!!

Jamie, the colors are great. The story is very good. I'm guessing the leavy greens in the lower part of the frame is chow for them. Nice shot! |

Paul - What a view! Rugged country to be sure. The color is pretty vivid. There does seem to be some haze up the valley, though that may be my eyes..... I tried the haze removal tool in Elements 2023. Seemed to make a difference.....
Very nice composition. I imagine you sam many great views up that way! |

Bev, pretty cool result. I like the expression on his face. The composition is also very good You've got a good TV. The detail and color is very good. I'd not thought about snagging images of of my TV. Then again, I watch a lot of old reruns. So, maybe I should not bother with that project....!
Very interesting |
