48 Jan 24 Reply To my eye the daker stems make the darker stems make the color in the blossoms pop more. The flowers are very impressive in front of the black background!! Jan 18th
48 Jan 24 Reply Jamie, oooh! Whitewash, you say! We actually got snow (not rain). So, maybe I don't have to "suggest" snow!

Will do and share the result later.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Great story. What a good discovery. You did get the horse at an especially photogenic moment of sorts.

I think your treatment of the subject is very good. I'm with Bev regarding not knowing where to start with this high key business. That treatment did make the horse pop and you have very good detail on the hide, mane and tail.

Very good!!

48 Jan 24 Comment Tom,

I like the composition. The background is excellent. I'm undecided about whether or not it would be better to have the stems more in focus or less in focus (and darker). The petals are very showing. The colors are bright and maybe making the stems darker would make them pop more....

Very good!

Good for you. It is very neat to have them all looking at you. I like the story behind the shot. I think it's good to have some places where these beautiful animals can live out their lives. The color is good and the slightly softy background is nicely done.

Good job!

48 Jan 24 Comment Paul,

First, I am fond of imagery that incorporates the moon. The clouds are great as are the foothills. The color is terrific!

Very good and thanks for sharing!

48 Jan 24 Comment Bev,

I recollect this scene from that conference. I'm so sorry to hear our guide was a victim of such a terrible act.

The colors and textures are very pleasing. The image is pleasantly warm. The property owner did a good job taking care of the woodwork on the door.

Very, very nice.

Thank you. I have to give Bev some credit for encouraging me to work with substitute backgrounds for some subjects.

Thanks again!
