48 Sep 23 Reply Jamie,

Thank you very much! The border was Ian's suggestion. That effort made me look into some of the functionality of Adobe Elements. There's a lot that I'm not taking advantage of, and putting borders on images is a useful one to become acquainted with.

48 Sep 23 Reply Ian,

Thank you. I expect you are right about putting a border around the frame would enhance the image. Now, I'll just have to figure out how to do that....!

Yes, this makes the driftwood and sky more dramatic. I expect this would make a very nice print! Good work!

48 Sep 23 Reply Well, it worked! Almost like what photojournalists used to say (I think): "f8 and be there!" Being at the right place and having the forethought to capture a long exposure produced quite a gem! Sep 6th
48 Sep 23 Reply Oh! Lloyd made a good point about the bottom of the frame. Generally speaking, I think what you chose for a background fits the subject and her pose. It is certainly way better that the building in the raw image. Fits the subject! Sep 6th

Thank you. Yes, I could have used a diffuser had I thought of it. I appreciate your feedback!

48 Sep 23 Comment Lloyd - Wow! Wow! What good fortune and and good work! Your image is about as dramatic as a scenic can get. Thank you for sharing this and good for you to be out there! Sep 3rd
48 Sep 23 Comment Tom - Outstanding! Love the colors, the sun and the driftwood. I'd be tempted to crop up a little since the sand in the bottom of the frame isn't of much interest. The clouds are great. Sep 3rd
48 Sep 23 Comment Jamie - Neat idea. I agree with Tom regarding the stem in the front center of the frame. I like the background being dark with a hint of other flowers being present. The lighting on the subject is b=very good. Sep 3rd
48 Sep 23 Comment Paul - Great story. I'd love to visit a ghost town or two. Actually, I did get to Bodie, Ca, but I know there's plenty more places to explore. I like the colors and the stuff in the window and tacked onto the wall.

What was the name on the store?
