Interesting photo of withered flower. On your original it's clear, that it's overexposed. ISO 100 would be better, perhaps also shutter 1/250. You succeed to recover tones.
For me your background is good. Just upper right part is far too dark. |

Very nice scene! I agree with Terry to leave more space on the right.
I think, that middle elephants are more sharp then the first (right) one. You didn't include camera settings. I suppose, that the problem is to shallow depth of field (DOF). Smaller aperture (higher number) would solve the problem. Now you can try to sharp it with Topaz Sharpen AI.

The photo of pigeon is good. I agree with Mohanan to leave more space in front of it. You can cut more on the left.
I noticed, that eye and neck feathers are very sharp. That's not the case on other feathers. You said, that you sharpened with Topaz Sharpen. The problem of this software is, that it's not always smart enough to select and sharpen the whole object (pigeon). Try to switch on Select and Refine to select the whole pigeon.
