I like your BW boy. I would make tighter crop, similar to Walter's. So you would have less distracting elements in the background. Otherwise image is very sharp and you have made perfect tone processing. |

Welcome Darlene!
Very beautiful landscape! I didn't expect, that you have exchanged the sky. And I also didn't notice to be something wrong with the light direction.
You have perfectly processed the rocks and sun beam.
The only thing I would change is to leave a little bit more sky over the rocks. |

I also prefer Mohanan's more contrast processing.
Before reading Joan's comment I didn't notice the cloud after moving. But sky is very difficult to move. Maybe it's better to select just the bird and cut/paste it on the other position on the sky.
Although the photo is very sharp, the nearest two birds don't have the same sharp eye as the third. I would suggest aperture F8 for more DOF. I think, that shutter 1/4000 would be enough for sharp image hendheld at 400 mm. I usually use 1/800 or 1/640, because I don't want to raise ISO over 100. Such large birds fly slowly. |

What an amusing image!
I agree with Mohanan to crop a little bit on the left, but leave the poles fully. You can crop it a little bit also in front.
Processing is perfect. I'm just not sure, whether the wave is overexposed. Maybe some highlights before other processing.

Welcome Renee!
Maybe some suggestions for the beginning. Your picture is too big. You should resize it to 1024 x 768. It's more difficult to comment, if you don't see the whole photo on the screen.
It's also good to add a little bit smaller original to compare to processed image. It's good to add the information about camera and settings.
Lighthouses are interesting objects for photographers, special on rocks with less other objects.
You have got many comments from other group members. Tilt of lighthouse is not hard to correct. Composition is usually the best if object is on 1/3 of photo. Yours is to much in the center, but Mohanan's is too much on the left edge.
By Mohanan's suggestion you can use yellow filter for better sky. I rather use gradient neutral dencity filter. It can be attached to the lens of the camera or processed gradient filter in Lightroom.
Spot metering can make problems if your spot is on darker surface like your blue. That can cause overexposure on white areas of lighthouse. That's much difficult to correct in postprocessing then darker areas. |

Nice Indian girl and interesting decoration. Both on one photo.
For portraits background is always good to blur.
Congratulations to Kaanjana! |
