I agree about lightening of darker areas. I would do that with shadows.

I would make much tighter crop from the bottom and left. Some additional sharpening would be good.		 Jun 23rd

I agree, that the left side is overexposed and has a lot of negative space. Maibe you can try tighter crop in landscape orientation and cut more of boat. The story will still remain, but will be more visible.		 Jun 23rd
