I like winter feeling of the processed image. I agree with Joan about crop. Your corrected version is much better.
I also see no need for vignetting.

Yes, photo is sharp and good lightened.
I agree, that cameras in mobile phones have enough resolution and sometimes good software processing. The photos with enough sunshine and wide angle are sure competitive to those from cameras.
I see some bad sides of mobile camera. First is, that holding of mobile is not natural and not enough compact in low light conditions. Yes, the camera then increase ISO lowering the quality of photo. Also flash of mobile is strong enough just for portraits.
Next bad side is display. It's similar as many compact cameras. In sunshine you even don't see, what you are capturing. For me viewfinder is necessary.
And one more thing. You have just automatic mode. In Shutter priority or manual mode and with other settings you can capture many photos better.
I don't use SRL photo from the same reason, what you are thinking about. On my old compact camera Panasonic FZ-50 I have 420 mm zoom on built in lens. I could not wear such a lens. My new Nikon has 2.000 mm, but 1.000 mm is perfect usable. Impossible with SRL camera. That's the reason, why I always use compact cameras with large zoom, viewfinder and manual settings. |

Walter, you have captured the right time for slow shutter photo. Yes, in that case, trees in wind can't be sharp.
Nice color of light toward the sky.
I don't like the tree cut either. If you want to add interest to the tower, then you can cut both trees lower, where the branches come near each other and getting a natural boarder.
Composition - the tower is too much central. |

Joan, very interesting bird!
I suggest a lower viewing angle next time to capture more in the level of the bird. Of course it's not always possible.
I would change the crop so, that it would have a little more space in front.
I suggest some selective sharpening on the eye. Due to lower DOF feathers on the neck are more sharp then the head. |

Very interesting nature photo!
Bunny, as I look at the small barely seen bear on your original, I believe, that you have got the most out of this photo. That's the reason, that it's a little bit soft. You would really need more powerful tele lens.
I agree with Terry to change the crop. I would make the crop more panoramic with just a little sea on the bottom and bear on lower left third.
The image seems to be a little bit too green. You can try to correct it.

Indian festivals are interesting and very colorful. In such late evening it's hard to capture good photo. You succeeded.
Crop is good for me. I agree with Joan to brighten left side of the statue's face. Also the boarder is good.
I would just like to remind all the members about travel photography in travel division. In that division nothing can be cloned or moved. It can be just toned down.

Yes, that are another boats.
I will look more for details. But there were very difficult lightning conditions toward sun. And this camera has just JPG, not RAW. |

Thank you, Joan! I will remove it for open themas. For Travel I must not.
That church on the right is not in the village but on the island, which was seen last month. Just from the other side. |
