Lovely squirrel with tail up! Yes, the right bright area should be darkened (burnt) more. I see some lack of sharpness in the eyes. |

Yes, perfect action image and good cloning out. I would also make tighter crop. |

I agree with Kathleen, that birds are a difficult subject. Especially white birds like egrets. They have so bright feathers, that you must underexpose the other parts of the image very much.
The original has lack of sharpness. Your processing has returned it some, but you have got glow on the edges. Thus the image seems unnatural.

I like golden tones in the image and milky water. You say, that there was too much light. In that case you need grey or also called ND (neutral dencity) filter. Then you can prolong shutter speed. Shutter speeds of 1s are the best for milky water. Have you switched optical stabilizer off on the tripod? |

I like sunflowers too. I agree, that background is still too busy. I would make square crop with flower in the center. I advice more bluring and darkening (burning) the background.

Sorry, I have different opinion. For me the head including the eye is not sharp enough. Background and also the trunk are noisy due to high ISO. Cloned neck is somehow unnatural. |
