Oh, what an awful animal. I would really like to see it from a safe distance.
For me, the whole image is too dark. You should darken just the background, but the animal and the reflection should stay as original.
I agree with Barbara for crop.
If you would send it on a nature exhibition, you should remove vignette

The tree is very colorful. It's shape is more useful to be on the left. Now it's nearly on the middle and there's too much empty blue space on the left. I miss some sharpness on the tree. |

I miss the main interest in this photo. Without original or your comments, I would not know, what's on the photo. I would make a not so tight crop from original, cutting out just the right car, some buildings on the left and some sky.
Your shutter speed was too long for capturing out of the car. It makes the image unsharp. 1/400 with F8 would be sharper.

I like colorful mandarin ducks, but they are so rarely seen. It's interesting to catch the pair together.
It was good to lighten the photo. Removing other duck was good idea. Just a shadow of it has remained on the water.
I would prefer to see the colorful male more sharp. You would need wider DOF. Now you can try to sharpen it selectively, especially the eye. |

Yes, interesting composition. You have restored lightening good. I agree with all the corrections suggested by friends in study group: leveling, cropping on the bottom and right. |
