I've been hesitant to play with the sharpening tool, which ACR has bundled with its de-noise feature. I figured I could see the eyes of the birds pretty clearly, and I didn't want to risk ruining things.
But I am getting bolder by the day -- see what your nice comments are doing to me??? :-) |

Thanm you, Cindy!
You now share top spot this week with Richard. :-)
A few days ago I could barely see little heads poking over the rim of the nest. Hopefully we will have some good weather with a good sky (for Larry) and some much bigger babies. |

Larry, would you really trust me to drag a kayak a mile through the woods? And then float it on a beaver pond that has lots of little chewed up stumps everhywhere?
I'll take you up on it if I ever get back to Florida. I reallyreallyREALLY want to see the Everglades! |

Looks to me (newbie Sue) that you got a pretty nice in-camera shot that required little processing.
The contrast between the black and white is stark and dramatic. I like it. |

Looks like someone is hangry. . .!
So nice, and so sharp! The shadow play on the feathers makes it feel more real to me. Somehow the eagle appears somewhat small to me, either that or that's one big gull! Or maybe I just feel sorry for the eagle since he lost his lunch.
Was the z800 difficult to handle? heavy? It sure produced a great image. |

The D500 + 300 prime is a fabulous combo -- it certainly tolerated a significant crop. And it's still a nice sharp image! The bokeh background is awesome, it looks like you might have toned down the light a bit, which was just the right touch.
I hope you send these guys my way. There is a place in western NY (Knox Farm in East Aurora) where they tend to gather,so hopefully I will manage to get some photos myself. |

A dramatic photo with a dramatic tale! I kept waiting for the part where the alligator nipped your toes, but thank goodness that didn't happen :-)
It's just beautiful. |

Sometimes backlight is beautiful. Not when I use it, but here it certainly makes the photo.
(I love little snowies! Florida is on my to-do-this-year list!). |

What a difference between the original and the black and white! That slight texturing really helps.
I'm jealous, maybe one of these days I will get out to these lovely places. Til then, I'm hooked on your images!
