This is a fine landscape photo. The mountains are majestic and the vegetation is not burned white. Concrats! |

I like this photo. Myself, I would have cropped a bit from the left side. The fence is perhaps too symmetric, so cropping would balance the picture. |

Thia is a nice picture. It just would need something interesting in the foreground. The all-white plantation and tiny people would be a nice background. |

This is quite a nice capture. The only critic is about the perspective lines: the horizon and the road. They meet in the center of the picture, which is against the 'golden rules'. |

Just a general remark and my view of the landscape photography, which I try to follow:
During the long period of time I have formed a personal opinion that all the fine landscape pictures, whether paintings or photographs have shadows in the foreground, which really gives some depth for a flattish landscape itself. The other, perhaps the most important factor for a good landscape picture is the sky - clouds, shades/colours and the light, in general.
This is, of course, not always possible. However, the IR photography helps with the skies but who likes to have all the plantation winterly white. In the shadows and in the dull weather the images become perhaps more lifelike.
This is just my general observatio. In the nice weather with cloudless skies I choose to photograph details or dominating structures. I never make artificial skies or remove any objects with photoshop or like. I respect the view as it really was... |
