Gary, terrific image, everything looks good from foreground back and I like that the trees lead you to the lake and then the valley takes you back to the snow capped mts. Clouds are great as well. All you needed was a few bison in the foreground. Ray |

Larry, for me, the image is about the windmill as it is in sharp focus so I agree with Ian that cropping would be useful which for me includes moving the windmill to a more right position so there is more room on its left side, and cropping out some of the sky - you can still keep the 8.5x11 relationship but I agree that you would lose some of the foregorund as well, which you might not want to do. Ian, Imagine, getting that image at the only time you managed to be up there - the one time I was there for a sunrise, I got nothing but clouds. For me, while I like the B&W version, I really like the color version as there are so many shades to enjoy seeing. There is nothing I would even suggest changing - terrific. Ray |

Sherry - B&W vs color was a difficult decision but there is an upcoming local club B&W competition so that is why I used that approach with this one, looking for ways to improve. Thanks, Ray |

Dave - a delightful image that we all hope for but only can happen if we pay attention to what's around us, take the time to stop and experience the moment, and have some sort of camera with us. Its the photographer's version of smell the roses. I share Sherry's opinion about cropping of some of the sky and maybe, just maybe lighten up the foreground just a tad. Thanks also for the moon shot - who knew that "they" were out there maybe deciding if we were worth saving from ourselves. Ray |

Butch, a strong image with a lovely sky, and a snow capped mt in the far background. I wonder if the orange in the rocks structures is slightly oversaturated but that might have been how it looked with such an orange sky. While I appreciate Ian's comment, for me, I actually wish you has included just a little more on the left so we would have seen the complete bend in the cliffs.
I hope you are able to get back to taking photos sooner than you think as your photos/imagery is much appreciated and thanks for the LrC suggestion. Ray |

Sherry, I like that the colors are subtle with different cloud layers and you must have enjoyed experiencing the quietness that goes with the image. I was trying to decide if cropping a little bit on the left would be useful (or not) as I kinda think that while you need the trees, yo don't need all of them. - you might try a crop to about the middle of the trees where there is a small separation at the top of the canopy. That also gets rid of the small white spot in the bottom left corner. Ray |
