Marge, I appreciate your comment. Its a great pleasure to be walking through various parks and find these areas with large groups of daffodils in bloom and know they were originally planted by individuals that like us knew that they would be one of the first signs of Spring. Ray |

Charlie, - great image and enjoyable to look at. It is photographer's choice but I would have cloned out or maybe cropped out that one little leaf in the lower left that is out of focus as for some reason that I cannot explain, I find its presence distracting. Cropping might have resulted in too much of the upper leaf on that side being cropped out. |

Marge, The lotus is one of my favorite flowers for photography and fortunately there is a public gardens nearby that has them in several ponds. I agree with Judy that the petal obscuring part of the center detracts from the image but I thought that cloning it out might be difficult so I tried in PS just to see what would happen. I was mostly concerned with getting the stamens to look reasonable well and I think it worked but did not try to modify anything else. Ray |

Vincent, I like the image and the message it portrays. When I look at the image I wonder if you wanted them bending slightly to make the viewer think of wind rather than having them straight? I agree with the others that cropping out some of the bottom might help the image as my eyes keep going there given that area's relative brightness. And when I look closely at lets say the grass on the far left, it seems that the area right around the grass as you get closer to its bottom is slightly darker than the sky - like a halo effect? |

Judy - a wonderful surprise to see a photo that looks that great from what seems so long ago photography wise - I am curious as to whether you have run any photos like this through one of the denoise or sharpen programs just to see what you get? |

Murphy - what a gorgeous photo - you did great with the colors and keeping the flowers and front leaves sharp with the soft background! |

Judy - yes typhoid and not thyroid as that would have been a very strange epidemic. Am please you found the info. I have attached the image of the Coles to this message so others can see them. Path was very much not steep and as most of it was along the Eno River (by no mean a large river and very shallow), the outing was quite enjoyable. |

Thanks Murphy, it was a truly enjoyable day taking photos at two cabins in the park with daffodils almost surrounding the structures. |
