The colors are beautiful and I love the perspective. I too think a tighter crop would be more impactful. Very nice! |

The butterfly is lovely. I'm not sure what I would do either. If you use Lightroom, you might be able to select the butterfly and brighten it up a bit. You also might try dropping the saturation of the greens and yellows to tone down the background. |

I love the interaction of the herons. It shows their tender side and that's not something I think herons are known for. I really like Mervyn's crop and brightening of the image. I also liked learning about how the males are the stick gatherers. Great photo! |

I love the texture of this image. It tells an interesting story about winter in a way that is up close and unusual.
I like the original a lot too. If you wanted to you might be able to keep the original crop or play around with less cropping and maybe add a vignette to expand on the story. Very cool image! |

Thank you, Pierre - I appreciate you taking the time to recrop my image. I hadn't thought about doing a vertical crop to bring the bear in closer while preserving the context. |
