Hi Neil
I am fond of this image. The colour, the focus are very good. The trees are unique, interesting and pretty. I felt that I would like to explore the area when I looked at the photo. Good job Neil. |

Lovely story telling photo. Nicely balanced image. Every elements seem in their right spots. If the guy on the left faces the same direction as the other two or three include the dog, it is even better I think. Great shot!
Can I ask why you have used F20 please? |

Great story telling image. Works very well in Mono. The cloud adds a lot to the story. Exposure is good.
I think it will be better if there is more room on the left where the cowboys are heading into.

Hi Mark
I have been reading your description. First of all, I will give you a thump up for your bravery. To hike alone in the mountain in Iceland in that condition, ( I have not been there yet.) sounds and looks daunting to me. Were you scared? If you were, what were you thinking to make you keep going.
This photo is definately a documentery for your journey and experince and it should be unforgettable for the rest of your life. |

Hi Darcy
I like this composition. You have done a great job in the post especially what you have done for the sky. Good picture overall.
May be you should cropped in a bit from the right just to get rid of the white dot. |

Picture perfect! So beaufiful.
I have got no idea how to improve it. May be add a bit exposure in the shadow part, so we can see a little bit more details there.
Great photo. Well done. |

Hi Mark
Thanks for your comment and editing. I do like your version and I also got a message from your comment. "Choose the subject before shooting" Guess what I do forget about this now and then.
It is very interesting that you have darken the sky by pulling down the blue and raising the red. I have no idea about this approach before and I have just tried this technique on my other photo and it worked. So thank you for sharing. |

Hi Ed
Thanks for the comment. You have reminded me that photographer should observe more and spend more time on the scene before shooting. I will try to keep this in mind when I am in the field next time. |

Hi Dawn
Thanks very much for editing this image. It is quite different from my original. I like it your edit. It does look a lot more dramatic. Feel like something is going to happen there soon. The cloud stand out more in your version even the amount is only limited.
Also thanks for the comment.
You have mentioned the calibration function in the lightroom which I have never used before. Just now I have located it in my lightroom and will get the bottom of it. How wonderful! Something new everytime. Ha! |
