12 Jun 23 Comment I agree with the ideas of different angles to shoot the scene. Also, consider how you want to arrange the leaves. For example, is there a way to make a second or third (rule of odds) become a leading line to your center of interest. OK, arranging leaves with water drops is non-trivial, but a spray bottle can add the drops back. On the background here is a technique to consider. First, I going to assume you have a way to select the background, then start making modifications that help make the background less distracting without looking fake. The undo key is important. I've found a little less light, less shadows, less highlights and less saturation can help. There is no perfect math here, just play with the sliders over and over. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Comment I agree with cropping more from the button would remove the urge to see the rest, plus it would add more emphasis to the drops. Plus you could crop in from the right edge some. Effort and trying different ideas photo after photo helps all of us. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Comment Wow is right! The star burst adds a lot. I was wondering if cropping in more would highlight the drop more, so I played around none were worth sharing. I like the balance you choose for the amazing drop and the environmental context. Attached is a version where I reduced the background brightness and saturation to keep the flower context whole, but a little less distracting. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Comment As mentioned above cropping in and showing off this one sharp water drop worked great. There is no doubt what the center of interest is and the scene inside the drop keeps your eye there. I also like the choice of your warmer background because to me it just feels more positive in my mind. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Comment What a great science experiment! When creating a photo we have lots of options to increase the impact. Adding a person is often a good idea to add more emotion to a story as you have done. Also, think about the background, for example, consider if you placed the person a step or two to their left to eliminate the window. The yellow siding provides good contrast and would not distract like the window. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Comment I'd never heard of this water/glycerin on CD technique. Thanks for sharing it. I like how the colors match the background. To me, the background has too much noise and I wonder what Topaz AI would do. See attached. Jun 15th
12 Jun 23 Reply I cleaned up some of the light, I think I removed what you were talking about. I like it better now. Jun 4th
12 Jun 23 Reply Hi Lee
Thanks, while I didn't see the drops on the leaf when capturing the photo, I did see them in post processing and like them because you can see some of the flower colors. While some people take a squirt bottle to add droplets, I was very fortunate that there was a lite drizzle before I arrived.

12 Jun 23 Reply Hi Ally
I wanted it to have more width as well, but after straightening the flower (see original) it wasn't possible.
