12 May 23 Reply On my laptop screen (I'm on the road) this sky looks a little purple. Which reminded me, that purple is also a traditional Halloween color and complements orange (roughly opposite sides of the color wheel). That said, to me, blue sky is right for this photo.

On removing things, the latest Photoshop added a new "Remove Tool". AI driven and the results are amazing.

12 May 23 Reply Good point on too much sunset on the right trees, thank you! May 15th
12 May 23 Reply If you have a photo of gravel around, try replacing the ground with that and the flower growing through it. I suggest gravel because I think it fits well with the rock background and avoids being a distracting element. On the style of the gravel, consider having direct sunshine that appears to have similar light angles as the shadow. Nice looking, yet boring - if that is possible. May 11th
12 May 23 Comment Great angle. It really shows off the endlessly circling stairs. My mind was busying trying to understand top, bottom and running in circles - which is great because you had me looking all the way to the top.

From a shadow perspective, there are shadows, but they are a minor part of the photo.

12 May 23 Comment My first wow when seeing this was - that's the best flower shadow I'm ever seen. Then, when I realized, shadows don't tend to have much color, I thought - wow impressive editing!
You have used creativity to craft a great fine art photo. Great vision. Well executed.

I was looking that the flower and shadow so much I overlooked Joan's comment. However, now that I see, it consider using some of your magic to make it a non-issue.

12 May 23 Comment It is amazing how many shadows can exist in this one photo! From a composition viewpoint, I do feel the center post almost visual stops me from looking deeper into the details. Which started me wondering if walking past the second post, the shot towards the stairway, wall and ceiling would be amazing as well.

p.s. If I ever make it to Phoenix, I'm stopping by here.

12 May 23 Comment That's a lot of shadows! You editing and conversion to monochrome make the shadows pop! I start thinking about those Escher drawings where the stairs seem to go up and down at the same time. Well done! May 10th
12 May 23 Comment There is a good story here with the excitement of running to the pumpkins. I like the central focus on your grand-daughter, that is without the people on the other side of the patch. The crop with sky shows more environment and good sky. That said, I still lean towards your tight crop and the focus on the story and shadow leading to the pumpkins.

p.s. good tip on capturing more photos, and with digital we almost never run out of "film".

12 May 23 Reply Hi Joan
In my note I merged two things, In Color Efex, the filter is Reflector Efex, inside that filter, you have three "color" choices - gold, soft gold and silver. I find the gold color is similar to the great light from sunrise/sunset. I've lived in the east coast for the last 30 years but go "home" to Oregon every year. Every state has some amazing places in them, but the western states just seem to have more amazing places.
