Beautiful image of the King Vulture! I saw these amazing creatures for the first time last March in Costa Rica on a photo birding trip. The sharpness of the bird and soft background keep my attention on the subject. The whites are not blown out and the texture is amazing. Compositions is great! I wouldn't change a thing - fabulous photo! |

Beautiful location and good sharpness throughout the image. The hot spots (white areas) to the left are a little distracting. Martha has a good suggestion with the ND filter (I just bought one a few months ago) for high contrast images. The composition looks great with just enough sky. Well done! |

Very majestic photo of the egret and the background tells us the vastness of his surroundings. The compositions works well for this photo, though I might crop a little from the bottom and right. Love the photo! |

The warmth of the pending sunset captures my eye. If the clouds haven't been too thick it might have been nice to capture a sunburst (I usually get these at f/16 or above). The moon is almost centered, which I tend to avoid; maybe crop from the left a bit so that the moon placement follows the rule of thirds. |

Thanks Martha! Evaluating photos is definitely subjective. I'm glad you like it. |

I love how you cropped this! I struggle with finding the right balance between giving room for the bird to peer off in the distance, but not having too much negative space. Thanks for showing me your edit - it helps a lot! |

That thing hanging down from his tail is part of his tail. Pretty weird, huh? I like the suggestion of the crop - definitely works better and still gives him room to peer off to the left. Thank you! |

I think the image is improved with the cropping Sheldon suggested. The chickens are well lit and the Eiffel Tower draws the eye up to the lit tree. Since it's hard to tell what is going on with the chickens, I might crop even tighter. I'm conflicted with the lights to the left - it's interesting, but a little distracting; maybe tone it down a bit. I guess it depends on where you want the focus to be. |

Wow, this image reminds me of the mosques I saw in Israel. The texture and sharpness of the tower, contrasted with the cloudy sky, adds interest and leads your eye to the top of the photo. The light looks a little soft to me. For me, and this is something I struggle with, I like to see straight lines in buildings. I would consider either straightening the tower of the light. Just a thought. |
