I agree with John's comment - I would not have centered the lighthouse, but probably would crop out the right side a bit. And there is a bluish tint to what I am guessing is a white structure. I would probably also crop out a little of the foreground as it does not add to the image per se. The wispy clouds add interest and I am wondering if they can be drawn out more. |

Beautiful night shot! The light painting worked well and the tree, foreground, and stars a sharp - well done! The dark clouds add a sense of drama or impending storm. Picky point - I might remove the yellowish circle that appears on the left side of the largest plateau. I doesn't look like the moon or a star, so I'm not sure what it is. Great photo! |

Very nice black and white photo. The detail and texture make for a compelling image. The soft fading of the flower into the background keeps the eye focused on the center. Although it's hard to tell where the image ends - I see a subtle white line on the bottom, left, and top of flower, but not on the right side. This could be my monitor is not picking it up or I'm not seeing it. In either case, I suspect the image is not framed on a square, which I think I would have preferred. Other than that, this is a great shot! |

Cool photo of an amazing fish! I'm glad to hear you were not in the tank with the little beast. I can appreciate the difficulty in shooting through glass and in that regard you did a good job of minimizing glare. The fish itself looks a little soft, especially around the fins, although you got good texture on the fish and background rocks. The two branches that form a V below the fish are a little distracting and I might remove them. Overall, good lighting and the composition gives a sense of depth. |
