Thanks for your suggestion Martha. The highlights were challenging. I tried masking and reducing exposure, but it didn't look right. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Well captured shot of the bat in relation to the flower and its protruding tongue. Definitely worth all the effort to capture this beautiful picture. The sharpness is great and shooting continuous was a smart move. Question: was your shutter 2.5 seconds or was that the interval between shots? While shooting hummingbirds in Costa Rica I was at minimum 1/2000 seconds and ofter wished I had gone to 1/4000 seconds; through bats may not travel as erratically as hummingbirds. Beautiful image! |

The composition of the sailboats and background is well balanced. I might have lightened up the sails on the main boat and darkened the clouds a bit, but this is personal preference. Your faster shutter speed gives a sharp, crispness to the image. Well done! |

I appreciate your tenacity in staying up late to get this shot. I just got back from an astrophotography workshop in Texas and found the late nights exhausting, but worth the effort. Love the composition and the sharpness of the stars - something I found challenging. The light painting on the foreground adds interest to an already compelling photography. Just curious - did you adjust white balance or leave on auto? |

Wow! This is a powerful image. The texture and detail in the cross are amazing. The colors look great! I wouldn't change a thing. |

What an iconic image! I look at it and hear their music! Composition looks good and lighting is even. I think I would eliminate the rope in the foreground. |

I'm on my laptop and think my monitor is not doing justice to this image. The waves look blurry, so maybe a faster shutter speed would help (again, this might be my monitor). I like the colors and position of sailboats but would have gone for a narrower crop where the horizon is not centered in the image - perhaps more waves and less trees. |
