Beautiful image of a bird serenading! Bokeh looks great, composition of the branch and bird is impressive, but as Sheldon mentioned, a little cropping off the top would eliminate the empty space and improve composition. Otherwise, great photo!!! |

Very nice composition - I love the conductor walking beside the train and the workman on the train - this really adds interest to the photo. I agree with previous comments: increase contrast and saturation in the sky, and tone down the brightness on the concrete pathway. Would love to see this image in monochrome. |

The sharpness of the birds throughout looks great! The background gives you a perspective of location. The light on the birds is nice and even, perhaps could be a touch brighter to stand out from the background. Did you use a tripod or handheld? If handheld you did a great job at maintaining sharpness at 1/15 sec. |

This photo is making me thirsty and I don't even drink beer! I remember my parents had a liquor cabinet also - it was always locked. The colors in this image blend well together, but I would tone down the whites on the small vase and lid of the jar. It would have been nice to get the back row of bottles in focus, but if you didn't have a tripod that may not have been possible. |

Wow! Interesting effect of ICM - never thought of taking two images and merging! The color of the reeds/grass and duck work well and provide a nice contrast to the water. Thanks for sharing a new way of doing ICM - I'll have to try it out!

Oh I think the remoteness comes through. I also like the faded red as it accentuates the age of this bygone relic. Composition is good with the open fields adding to the feel that you are way out in the country. Depending upon how wide angle of a lens you had, it might have been interesting to include more of the road (adding to the remoteness), but still include the open fields, if possible. |
