Nicely composed and very sharp image. Did you have to do any focus stacking or did you get the range of sharpness from shooting at f/22? I like the black & white, but would like to see the flower pop a little more, i.e., more contrast as Laura suggested. Otherwise, great photo! |

Holy cow!!! This is a beautiful image! Great texture, tonal range, and yes, I love the sun burst! Absolutely stunning! Can you tell I like it? I can't think of anything to change - looks great! |

Love this picture! Also love Morro Bay - great area for camping and shooting! I like the composition as is. I think the colors look natural and I can see why it took first place. I am often torn between adding saturation/vibrance to an image or leaving as is. At the end, I think the question for you is what looks most natural/realistic based on what you saw. This image does not look over-done, which has a very pleasing, calming quality. |

Thanks Laura! As always, you have good suggestions! Didn't notice the tree trunk until you mentioned it - you have a good eye for catching the details.

Nice image, John! As mentioned, I also like the composition and bright colors. I would probably remove the white and red rectangle in the upper left corner as it is a slight distraction. Great photo! |
