Hi Marilyn. Super sharp subject. I would encourage you to enter this in the color category. I would suggest that you remove the editing artifacts above and below the bird. |

Wow Xiao, you sure recued this image in an excellent manner. As I've said before, you are a master PhotoShop editor. |

Hi Sylvia, Plovers are fun to watch run up and down the shore. I would like to see you repeat the image with, as Lisa pointed out, a lens that permits a larger bird in the image so more detail is available. |

Hi Maria, very interesting image. As with our Florida Anhinga, the neck gives the impression of being in a knot which I think adds intrigue to the image. As others have remarked, I too think the wings could be lightened a bit to bring out more detail. I would also suggest lightening the eye just a very little to add a bit more impact. |

Hi Lisa, the flip adds a lot of impact to the image. Good move. I love how the eagle's expression conveys a sense of strong concentration and adds emotion to the image. Nicely done! |

Lisa and Sylvia - thank you both for your insights. I did originally have the slight tilt but took it out to see what the group thought. Lisa, the image did have older pp and I suspect your are spot on about redoing it with current day pp tools. |

Thanks Barbara. I was indeed wondering what species the bird was. |

A big welcome to the group Barbara. Excellent composition. I have to agree with Frans on the reflection. Really like the DoF your settings provided. Brings my attention to the subject and keeps it there. Very nice. |

Great composition Frans. I really like the snake's posture and sharp red eyes, and that you caught it with the tongue out. Adds drama. Well done! |

The second image is sharper than the original. Good work! I applaud your efforts to learn LR. It's not easy. I recommend a book entitled "How do I do that in Lightroom" by Scott Kelby. As the title implies, you can look up how to do a particular action in the book and it generally devotes just a page to how to do it. |

Hi LC. Nice cropping job. As to the eye on the left bird, I think you may have captured it with the transparent eye lid down. Nice capture of the two different species together. |

Nice dreamy shot Dan. While I agree about the eyes, I wouldn't want you to diminish the fog otherwise as it puts mystery and emotion into the image. |

Thank you both for your kind comments. Frans I agree with you about the feather. I'll have to re-calibrate my post processing monitor. |
