Hi Marilyn. Nice composition. I do see the cyan around the eye and agree that it should be either removed or greatly lightened and desaturated a bit. I have occasionally seen a flamingo with very faint cyan around the eye, but it is usually hardly noticeable if present. |

Xiao, you have done it again. What a wonderful shoot. I love the wing positioning. The faint branches in the background while presenting some leading lines, do pose a bit of a distraction. All in all, a great image. |

Isn't it amazing how these birds can carry such a load and it not affect their flying (said by a pilot). Nice cropping job. I would suggest saturating the sky just a little bit as it will make the bird stand out more. |

Very sharp. I too would recommend slightly darkening the foreground as this should make it more join with the in focus ground under the bird. |

Excellent capture Lisa. I shoot a Nikon Z9 and have started using the Pre Capture feature. It can make a world of difference as you have done. There do appear to be some blow outs on the edges of the wings, although it is really not that noticeable. Love the blurred background. |

Hi Lisa, I used PS for processing and I did mask it as you described. The white area was just too blown out, at least for my level of PS expertise.

Hi Isaac. I also tried to work on the neck area but to no avail. the shot was a bring the camera up and shoot type of situation with little to no time for any adjustments. However thanks for your kind words. |

Thanks Frans. I like the changes you made. Thanks also for Roy's article. I am a PSA judge and routinely use the 4-tier nature judging guide. I wasn't aware of a 5-tier so that will be of great interest. |

Hi Matthew. Interesting view angle. It leads me to think the two trees have been felled. I do think the image is better portrayed in BW than it would be in color. |

Excellent capture Frans. Super sharp - you even captured the drool from the mother to the chick. Background is blurred which highlights the subject area nicely as does the lighting. The only suggest I have is to very slightly increase the exposure of either the entire image or if possible, just the subject area. Nicely done! |

Very nice owl. I think it needs to stand out more in the image. Perhaps mask it and then darken the background tree. If possible, removing the short limb across its wing on the right would enhance the image. Nice capture! |
