Beautiful bird. I agree with Maria's comments and would add to desaturate the light orange coloring in the lower right. Love the detail especially in the bird's face. Very nice. |

Xiao you have captured a great expression on the bird's face. The color harmony is very nice. I would like to see the tree (?) edge line coming from the bird's rump softened a bit. Otherwise well done. |

Lovely colors. I agree with Maria that the background is a bit distracting however I have also been to where you shot this and know there's not much else you can do since you were shooting wide open. Even so, the Spoonie shows off so nice. |

So sharp you even clearly captured the spider web string! I like the background which partially makes a frame, and also that the stick does not come from the actual corner. Well Done! |

Very sharp and nice color. I noticed my eye wondered to the green area in the upper right. Could you darken it a bit? I actually like the color it adds, but it seems to also be a distraction. The Merganser has such a determined expression! |

Tack Sharp! Love Sandhills and this is a wonderful shot of one. I can't see any areas to make it better. |

Here's #3 (just darkened the leaf). I think this one looks more natural. |

How's this Frans. In #2 I desaturate the leaf and in #3 (next post) I just darkened the leaf. |

Good comments all. I considered cropping tighter but in the end decided to leave more of the leaf to clarify the story. Also the upper part of the wing protrudes beyond the leaf at the top, so I couldn't crop down to just the leaf. The butterfly flew away just after I took it so unfortunately no time to reposition. Such is nature... |

Hi LC. Unusual animals for sure. Their protruding eyes capture a lot of reflections. I think you got the technicals just right. I might have cropped just a little bit from the top. |

Okay Ginny, what exactly is Nature Plus? I've never seen that category on the PSA website or heard of it anywhere. |

Wow! Those are some awesome talons for the size of the bird. Ginny I'd like to see you remove the upper green leaf as it is a bit of a distraction. The other leaf should be okay. Also I'd recommend lightening the bird's eye a little to make it more obvious. Nice blurred background. |

The ears and expressions say it all in this very emotional image. The lighting coupled with the great use of DoF to blur the background make this striking image. Other than perhaps lightening the eyes, I can't think of anything to change. |

I like how you positioned the dog so his sun lite head was framed by the dark area of the rock. Very nice overall composition. As a technicality, PSA doesn't permit the hand of man (dog's collar) to be in a nature image. |
