And Marilyn I shot it at an obtuse angle to make things more out of kilter. |

Hi Marilyn. Love how the Osprey is looking so intensely right at me. I also agree about the vignetting, but also understand the problem with a cloudless sky providing an uninteresting background.
I've been to Blue Cypress Lake several times and have never been disappointed. It's interesting how the Ospreys do not fish in the lake but go to adjacent areas to fish. |

Hi Xiao. Nice shot. I like how the limbs frame the bird, and I like the green background, although I would desaturate the green just a little bit. I think increasing the exposure of the bird and branches would enhance the image. You can easily do this in Camera Raw by either using the quick masking tool and choosing subject, or the preset tool and choosing Adaptive Subject and Warm Pop. |

Hello Maria. Very nice eye level shot. I have to agree about the bright spots. Otherwise I like the shot as is. |

Hi Richard. Sorry to be so late with my comments. I like how the original cropping frames the birds but do see some of the branches are a bit of a distraction. I understand about busy backgrounds that you cannot do anything about. In downtown Dallas there is a rookery with a lot of Egrets and some others, but it is so overgrown it is impossible to get a shot with a decent background. Here in Florida we are fortunate to have a lot of marshes and coastal areas without trees and with few bushes. |

Very interesting Lisa. Your sequence brings to life exactly how the eagle fishes. Well done. |

Lisa thanks for your comments. Would you mind explaining how you did the pp on the legs and waves please. |

Thanks Richard. I also had to choose between making the water's edge horizonal or keeping the left bird's legs vertical. |

Thanks Maria. I mistakenly submitted the image in the wrong format. Here is the better format. |

I agree Dan. Dragon flies are a lot of fun. I saw an image of one taken via focus stacking over 200 images. The focus was awesome. |

I don't think it need a crop either Dan. I think you could lighten the animals just a bit to bring them out a little more, but otherwise I like the composition. I was going to suggest lightening the horizonal rock face behind the deer, but that might mess up the natural sun light's direction?? |

Grackles are actually beautiful birds if you can catch them with good lighting to show off their normally hidden color. You got some of that on the parent's breast Ginny. Good shot. |

That's a great capture Frans. Love how the light affects the wings. I can't think of anything to make this image better. Nice job! |

They are definitely fun to photograph Ginny. Sometimes it's difficult to get the lighting and the background (or lack of it) to show their wings well. |
