Thanks everyone for your comments. Very much appreciated. You have confirmed my thoughts on cropping this image. That said, I have experienced exactly the point made by David about judges, and I think I maybe trying to lean that way a bit too much at times. |

Love the expression on the duck's face. Very quizzical. Here again I would like to see some cropping on the right and a little on the top. Perhaps more than others I'm more prone to crop to bring the subject more into attention. Otherwise however, a great shot. |

Great shot and I concur about the cropping. Such a great capture demands for attention in the image. With the Eagle looking down, I would think a vertical crop would accentuate that very nicely.
I use Topaz for sharpening and noise adjustment but PhotoShop for everything else including cropping, all (as far as I am aware) without any limitations as you mentioned. I would appreciate learning about the limitations mentioned when you have some time. |

Great action capture Frans. I also think some cropping on the left side to about where the water Vee's would bring more attention to your subject. |

One of my favorite birds Ginny. I would recommend cropping tighter on the left side and top, and perhaps lightening the bird's head area just a bit. The dead leaves don't bother me at all. |
