Thanks David. I should have lowered the exposure and darkened the white more on the neck. Good catch. Yes, I did have the Z9 set on animal eye tracking and I tracked the Kingfisher somewhat with it although difficult as fast as he moved. Once he stopped in the tree, I zeroed in using it. Green Cay and Loxahatchee are about 5 minutes apart and are both very good places. We were searching for a Painted Bunting but the only one we saw as at a feeder and only for a few seconds. |

Sorry Dan, I didn't see them at first, but indeed they are there. I still can't get over the wonderful expression. It adds so much emotion to the image. |

I can see from his expression that he has seen you. You were lucky to get this shot of him before he bolted. I wonder if bringing up the saturation just a little bit might bring out his colors more? Good stalking by the way. |

Very nice shot. I agree with Ginny about the great expression. Good depth of field and focus. Wish one would land on my deck. Could you have gotten any more of the bottom and legs? |

Nice composition, color harmony and bokeh. I like how, even at 1/1600 second shutter speed, you captured some wing movement and yet the rest of the subject area is in good focus. |

Ginny - If you have PhotoShop (I don't know LR), you can load your image, then under File, click on File Info. That will give you full Meta data.
Very nice image with good depth of field. I would recommend lightening the upper dark area of the orchid just a bit and darkening the left and right folds and the stem underneath the orchid just a bit. I like how you blurred the background in order to keep attention on your subject. |
